Job Description

We seek an Architectural Student who is actively pursuing an NAAB-accredited architectural degree for a 2014 summer internship in our Norfolk/VA Beach, Virginia office to assist on various design projects and work as a team on one major summer project.


Selection Process

Selection will primarily be based on a portfolio competition. To participate, you must follow our 2-step process:

1. Complete and submit our online application. Do NOT attach your portfolio to this application (our server system cannot process it). Please DO attach your text resume to this application (Optional).

2. Prepare and electronically submit your portfolio. Once we receive your completed application, we will send you an email describing our portfolio requirements and the email address you must use to submit your portfolio.

Applications and Portfolios will be accepted March 29 through 5:00 pm on April 19, 2014. Portfolios must be submitted electronically and must comply with the email instructions we send to you. We will NOT accept or consider hard copy portfolios.


Eligibility

This is a temporary full-time position.

This position is not available to Licensed Architects.

To be eligible, applicants must be students actively pursuing an NAAB-accredited degree. Examples of eligible applicants include:
  • Students who have completed 1, 2, 3, or 4 years in an accredited 5-year Bachelor of Architecture (B Arch) program.
  • Students who have completed 1, 2, or 3 years in a Bachelor of Science in Architecture program (BS Arch).
  • Students who have earned their BS Arch degree and have been accepted to enter an accredited Master of Architecture (M Arch) program no later than September 1, 2014.

Students who expect to graduate before September 1, 2014 are not eligible but should instead check our website for position openings for Architectural Intern Recent Graduate.
